The future of Plymouth is bright and we’re glad to be a part of it

As a long-standing part of the local business community here in the Southwest of England, the team at Cornerstone Vision has much faith in the future of Plymouth. We work closely with the Plymouth City Council to promote ‘Britain’s Ocean City’ and the Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce to position the Southwest as a growing economic hub.

Over the past 35 years, Cornerstone Vision has become a leading positive voice in Devon and Cornwall and our flagship publication, The Plymouth Chronicle is especially vocal in championing the future of Plymouth by showcasing encouraging developments. See Read The Chronicle – The widely known home of positive news about Plymouth. With a circulation of over 90,000 homes, this is a significant platform to target particular sectors of Plymouth or the entire city.

We also publish the Chamber Profile Magazine for the Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce which provides an ideal B2B advertising opportunity for companies throughout the Southwest. Other ways we serve the growing economy in our region includes offering a one-stop Design and Print service, as well as GPS-tracked leaflet distribution across Plymouth

Our managing director, Ian Pilkington believes Plymouth has huge potential which is why we support The Plymouth Plan, a ground-breaking strategy for the city that looks ahead to 2034 and we look forward to serving new businesses, as well as continuing to assist well-established companies in the region.

A strategic plan for the future of Plymouth

The Plymouth Plan, which was approved in 2021, provides “a collective vision for the city’s future, looking ahead to 2034,” recognising that Britain’s Ocean City has so much going for it with a unique seafront, abundance of natural resources and passionate local community.

“Plymouth has come on in leaps and bounds over recent years with the regeneration of Royal William Yard, housing developments for local residents and some great cultural events,” says the Plymouth Plan video below. “We’ve been involved in a big conversation about the future of Plymouth and the things we would like to work on, such as more jobs, having the best start in life for our children and improving transport links to the rest of the country.”

These are important objectives for the future of Plymouth and ones that we share.

As the editor of the Plymouth Chronicle, Chris Girdler concludes: “I’ve always been a glass-half-full type of person and this has definitely helped me deal with some of the challenges that life inevitably throws at you.  We all need to have faith and focus on the good things that are happening around us. I would like to think that telling the good news stories about our city inspires others to be upbeat about the future of Plymouth.”
