At Cornerstone Vision we’re often asked about our leaflet distribution cost per 1,000 along with questions like “Are leaflet drops effective?” In this article, we provide the distribution costs you need to know to make an informed decision in keeping with your marketing budget and gain maximum ROI.

Our Leaflet distribution prices
We offer three different packages – Multidrop, Solus or Semi-Solus. Multidrop is the delivery of two to three leaflets within The Plymouth Chronicle; Solus pertains to leaflets delivered separately and Semi-Solus distribution is a combination of the two, ie leaflets delivered along with our flagship publication.
We charge £45 + VAT per 1,000 leaflets delivered within the Chronicle which has a circulation of approximately 90,000 homes. This Multidrop option amounts to about £4,000 to reach the majority of homes in Plymouth. Or you could target one of four main areas in the city at approximately £1,000 per quarter. The areas are: Central & Waterfront; Waterside & West; Derriford & North; and Plympton and Plymstock.
Our exclusive distribution system further segments the city into 120 sectors giving you the opportunity to target specific areas of 500 to 1000 homes in the city reaching up to 4,000 properties. (our minimum multidrop order). This means that you can target your golden mile cost-effectively.
If you require your leaflet to be distributed on its own this will cost £125 per 1,000. This option is only available when we have the capacity. The middle ground is Semi-Solus which costs £55 per 1,000.
Please feel free to contact us to discuss which option works best for you. You can also download our Leaflet Distribution media pack which shows how we have divided up the city and can provide door-to-door delivery from 4,000 to 90,000+ homes.
| Multidrop | £45 per 1,000 leaflets | delivered in the Plymouth Chronicle |
| Solus | £125 per 1,000 leaflets | delivered on their own |

Are leaflet drops effective?
Our managing director, Ian Pilkington offers the following advice. “Leaflet distribution has proven to be highly effective, especially for customers who want to target a specific area. Carefully select the neighbourhood or areas where you want your leaflets to be distributed. This will ensure your message reaches the people most likely to be interested in your products or services.
“When done correctly, leaflet distribution can result in a good response rate and return on investment. However, it’s important to plan your leaflet distribution campaign carefully and to work with a reputable distribution company to ensure that your leaflets are delivered to the right people in the right way.”
So which pricing option should I choose?
“It’s horses for courses really! Different products, services and offers are suited to different things.” Ian says. “Some companies wish to advertise in the main body of the Chronicle and they get great results. Others feel their message will be more visible if it is contained in the newspaper as an insert. Part of the reasoning behind having a standalone flyer instead of an advert is that recipients tend to hang on to leaflets for longer, and in our experience, many of our customers have reported new business coming in from their leaflet weeks or even months after their deliveries have been completed.
“As to whether our Solus option works any better than our Multidrop or Semi-Solus option I think it’s really a question of personal preference. The Solus option does seem to work better with brochures rather than leaflets. However, it is three times the price. This may not be cost-effective for every business. However, if you are selling £200,000 houses, even if you have a low conversion rate you are going to be happy with the result of the campaign. For me, the bottom line is what ROI are you getting? Honestly, as with any opportunity, it only costs money if you don’t get a return on your investment.”
