We’re pleased to introduce our new graphic designer, Louis Chadwick, who comes with loads of creative experience, having worked in various design roles in Plymouth over the past 12 years.
Cornerstone Vision’s new graphic designer, Louis Chadwick has high expectations of what businesses in Plymouth can achieve this year, especially as they explore creative ways of gaining increased exposure in the city. That could be with a revamped brand or newly designed packaging. Or anything from printed brochures to an innovative advertising campaign or widespread leaflet distribution in targeted areas.
We agree with Louis’ outlook for 2023 which is one of the reasons we hired him! We have no doubt he will continue the great work Leah Jeffery did for our clients over the past five years. Clearly, he shares our passion to promote the good things happening in Plymouth, while also having the qualifications and experience to make a significant contribution to the local marketplace.

“People are starting to see the gaps in the marketplace left by lockdown and how they can best be filled. So there are lots of entrepreneurial opportunities in the city and Cornerstone Vision can help turn these into reality”
LOUIS CHADWICK
Meet Louis Chadwick who is passionate about design
Born and bred in Plymouth, Louis has been described as a hard-working and creative digital artist with more than a decade of proven experience within the creative industry in Plymouth. He started out as a photography assistant and moved into digital retouching, branding and packaging. He now embraces the full spectrum of graphic design services at Cornerstone Vision.
Louis is a graduate of Arts University Plymouth, the independent educational institution founded in 1856, offering diplomas, degrees & MAs. He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Graphic Design and also received a National Diploma in Photography from PCA.
Previously Louis worked as a creative artworker at EMX Dynamics / Luminati creating signage and displays for internationally recognised brands such as Barbour, McLaren, Taylors of Harrowgate and Leonardo Hotels. Before that, he spent 10 years at The Range which opened its first store in Plymouth in 1989 and is now one of the UK’s fastest-growing retailers. It was here Louis built his experience in branding and photography helping to develop all types of brands from budget to luxury.
Speaking about his new role, Louis says: “I was very much drawn to the role at Cornerstone Vision due to my interest in print media. I also like being more involved with the community. You feel a bit distanced from your customer base when they are national brands so as someone who has lived in Plymouth all their life, I always wanted to have a stronger connection to the city. Perhaps because I now see how my myriad of skills could be beneficial to a wider clientele through Cornerstone Vision.”

So why does Louis believe 2023 will be good for Plymouth?
“I think people are finally starting to put the negativity of recent years behind them and starting to see the gaps in the marketplace left by lockdown and how they can best be filled. So there are lots of entrepreneurial opportunities in the city and Cornerstone Vision can help turn these into reality as new start-ups grow. Of course, we also offer a full design service to larger companies and corporates in Plymouth.
“I particularly enjoy working with Chris Girdler, the editor of the Plymouth Chronicle,” says Louis. “The publication offers Plymouth a much-needed boost. There is so much positive energy out there and the Chronicle effectively captures this, giving people more confidence to move forwards with their dreams.”
Looking ahead to what 2023 will bring, we can reliably predict that Louis will be very busy in his new position. So what will he do to relax? “They say that when your work is also your passion, it isn’t work anymore – that’s exactly how I feel about design, I find it a lot of fun,” he says. However, Louis’ other passion is motorbikes so you may even pass him on his Royal Enfield heading for Cap’n Jaspers which is a popular gathering place and a favourite of biking enthusiasts.

Louis created a magazine at Uni highlighting the motorcycle scene in Devon and will now be busy with the Chamber Profile and other local publications. If you’re start-up in need of branding, advertising etc please give us a call at Cornerstone Vision and Louis will be happy to assist. Corporate clients may need publishing support for a particular newsletter or publication you have in mind. Whatever your design requirement, Louis will be happy to rise to the challenge.
