Louis Chadwick who aims to deliver the best graphic design in Plymouth.
Louis has lived in Plymouth all his life and has been described as a hard-working and creative digital artist with more than a decade of proven experience within the creative industry in the city. He started out as a photography assistant and moved into digital retouching, branding and packaging. He now embraces the full spectrum of graphic design services at Cornerstone Vision. See: ‘It’s going to be a big year for Plymouth,’ says our new graphic designer, Louis Chadwick
We asked Louis to describe a typical day in the Cornerstone Vision design team.
“A day in the life of our creative design team is full of variety, from taking briefs for new projects to reviewing proofs with customers and making their changes,” he says. “We believe client liaison is essential to successful graphic design. Part of this is discussing a basic concept before we start designing. Often a client won’t know exactly what they want until they determine what they don’t. So it’s a process, however, prior planning saves everyone’s time. It’s great to work with our clients on a one-to-one basis, answering their questions and and ensuring we deliver the desired results.
“As much of what we do at Cornerstone Vision is advertising-related we spend much of the day, collating advertising material for our various publications including The Plymouth Chronicle and the Chamber Profile. The Chronicle has an intricate daily schedule to meet the various deadlines of four editions across the course of the month, each targeting a specific area. Our editor, Chris Girdler lays out the newspaper editions and our design team supports him by creating adverts at no cost to the advertiser.
“We realise there are local businesses who don’t know how best to communicate with their customers. This is something we can help with. Cornerstone Vision has been at the forefront of design in Plymouth for over three decades! We offer design and print as one package, saving costs, and providing end-to-end management, so our customers have peace of mind.”
LOUIS CHADWICK
“The Chronicle requires daily social media management which means working with the editor to post articles from the newspaper to the website. This means coming up with creative posts to get maximum eyes on our local community content,” Louis continues.
“Of course, in addition to creating ads for the newspaper which is distributed to over 92,000 homes, we also design leaflets for distribution to the same vast target audience. These can be delivered door to door to the entire city or parts of it. This ability to target is especially useful when a business only wants to reach its immediate vicinity or ‘golden mile’.
“When it comes to design in Plymouth we realise there are local businesses who feel they don’t know how best to communicate with their customers. This is something we at Cornerstone Vision can help with. The company has been in design and print in Plymouth for over three decades! And the great thing about us is that we offer design and print for door-to-door leaflet distribution as one package to the customer which can save costs, and provides professional end-to-end management, so our customers have peace of mind.”
